Malaysia will officially get the PS3 – finally.
Speculations and rumors have been circulating for weeks and yesterday Sony Malaysia have made the official announcement for Playstation 3 launch in Malaysia.
Had a good Merdeka weekend break, Malaysian gamers? Well, here’s more reason to celebrate as Sony is officially launching the Sony PlayStation 3 in Malaysia, and you’re invited! If you pre-order the PS3 from Sony Style Malaysia online or be one of the first 100 people there to purchase the console on the day of the launch, you’ll snag some great prizes!

It’s good to see Sony are giving out tons of free goodies during the launching event. However, there were no details regarding PSN nor the pricing for games release in Malaysia. I guess we’ll find out more in 3 weeks time.

I owned a Singapore region PS3, and it got spoiled recently. Do you think Sony got technician ready in Malaysia to fix those faulty PS3s?

I believe malaysia would probably have their own team of technician for support. However, cross region machine is a bit tricky…most of the time they will refuse service if the console is from another region…
