Sorry to disappoint Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey fans – Mistwalker’s Hironobu Sakaguchi next project have been officially revealed as “The Last Story”, an rpg for Nintendo Wii. Just like Monolith game – there are no media other than the official site and theme song but report are saying that more information regarding the game will be revealed in March.

Sega have just released the first gameplay video for Tri-Ace’s End of Eternity. The video showcases exploration clips in one of the game environment. I’m not sure why, but the game remind me a lot of Lost Odyssey ( architectures ) and Valkyria Profile ( side scrolling movements ). Hopefully, Sega will release more clips especially the game mechanics

It has been a long while since we heard anything new from Mistwalker – the creator that brought Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey to the 360. However, Hironobu through a blog update have hinted that Mistwalker is indeed developing something new – and it will be revealed sometime this year.

Finally, after months of waiting — Microsoft have finally ready to roll out the DLC for Lost Odyssey. The first will consist of 3 items – a new ring – “Killer Machine”, a new dream sequence – “The Shattered Bond” and “Memory Lamp” — a game item that let you watch the previously collected dreams.

Not to be mistaken with Slot seed, seed are items found in various treasure chest, interactive things as well as hidden through out the stages. While on their own, these seeds doesn’t do anything but there is a creature that lives in a pot called “Pipot” that will trade in some cool items if you manage to give him all the 99 seeds scattered in the game

There are 4 immortals in the game and they have the ability to learn various skill either through accessories or skill links with the rest of the magic casters in the game. Once acquired, the immortals can equip via the skill slot available for each particular characters. By Obtaining Slot Seed, you can actually increase the number of slot available for each of them. However, an immortal can only use a maximum of 12 seed each

The Cubic Music Score Challenges is basically a mini game that require player to hit a sequences of music notes based on the Music Scores found through out your adventure. Once you obtained a music score you can play this minigame with any one of the Cubic Musician found through the world.

Prince Tolten may have been a puppet at the beginning of the game but he will play an integral part in unlocking one of the side quest contained in Lost Odyssey which is unlocking the Royal Seals

Lost Odyssey are filled with treasure chest and hidden treasure. So it’s only fitting that one of the long sidequest in the game involve you to travel back and forth for clue on how to find these hidden treasure chest.

Just like any other RPG, Lost Odyssey are filled with optional sidequest that doesn’t directly link to the main storyline but completing them can fetch some awesome stuff. I have outline most of the ones available in the game in a progressive manner so that it is easier to follow through all the 4 disc

Apart from obtaining rings accessories, gamers can acquire components to form new ring as well as duplicate the one that you have and even assemble a more power version of those rings by combining them at the ring maker scattered around the world.

In Lost Odyssey there are 2 distinct type of skill classes. The first are dedicated to the immortals while the 2nd set are specific for the mortals. The immortal have 2 different ways to learn them, either through accessories or skill link with the mortals. These skill have an AP limit to each of them, once you reach the required AP, you will then acquired the skill attached with it. If you have played Final Fantasy 9 then you feel very much at home.

In order to start this side quest, you first need to complete the 9th Music Score puzzle for Cubic Music Score Challenge and obtained the special item – Sunderch Glasses. The item will enable you to see all the 11 invisible treasure chest scattered through out the world and the rewards for completing these quest include some of the more powerful spell and spell casting skills

Once you reach Gohtza, you will have access to one of the best sidequest in the game – the Back Yard Tournament. It is basically a series of fights – 20 in all and it is broken to 4 different categories

Apart from the storyline bosses in Lost Odyssey, the game contained some hidden bosses as well. Some might be easy to find but other requires you to complete certain sidequest in order to unlock them.
